Coming soon: Islands of Abandonment

Attention booksellers, book reviewers and book bloggers! Advance proof copies of my new book ISLANDS OF ABANDONMENT: LIFE IN THE POST-HUMAN LANDSCAPE are now available from HarperCollins. It’s a nonfiction book about the ecology and psychology of abandoned places – how they make us feel, and how nature reclaims what once was hers. Get in touch if you’d like a copy, but you’re not sure who to ask.

The book will be published in the United Kingdom on 21 January, 2021. It will also be published in the United States (June 2021) and the Netherlands (date TBC). I will reveal the final cover art here in due course.

It is already available to pre-order in the UK. I will be so, so grateful to anyone who does so, as pre-orders are growing increasingly important in publishing. My favourite thing about pre-ordering books is that I often forget I’ve done it, until the book appears on my doorstep on launch day as if by magic. What a happy surprise. So buy your future self a gift, and earn my undying gratitude, by pre-ordering a copy!
