What We're Reading

1. My life and past bad judgement calls are now plastered across the internet for all eternity (thanks, facebook). But future generations may be saved this embarassment with self-destructing data.

2. Garfield minus Garfield – "Revealed: the existential angst of Jon Arbuckle"

3. "My thousand-year story is an antidote… You can't take in more than one word per century. That's even slower than reading Proust."

4. Oh. This is wonderful.

5. Lev Grossman's dispatches from San Diego Comic-Con are some of the most harrowing things I have read this week. Seriously, it sounds like that bit two-thirds through every Hunter Thompson book when everything starts to get really, really messy.
